WASP - Dying For the World (2002/Sanctuary)
Rating - 8.2

A CD inspired by the events of 9/11/01, 'Dying For the World' is a CD in vein of the majority of WASP's 90s material, except with perhaps an even darker and more boding atmosphere. Considering the topics and inspiration, however, that's understandable. The disc is consistent throughout, mixing angry and aggressive tracks with some slower/sludgier pieces.
The steady pulse of "Shadow Man" is nice, and "Trail of Tears" is a crawling and hallowed piece. Both "My Wicked Heart" and "Revengence" are energetic, with "Rubberman" being good and fiery.
