W.A.S.P.--The Last Command (1985)
Rating--7.5

Wild Child--RealAudio
Better overall than the debut, as almost all the songs are good in one way or another---but there just aren't many true standout or memorable cuts. The band continues in its Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot vein of metal, cranking out Crue-like blurbs along the way.
Songs "Wild Child," "Fistful of Diamonds," and "Jack Action" are all good rockers with a solid flow. "Widowmaker" has a strong buildup, and "Blind in Texas" has a strange 'Girls, Girls, Girls' quality about it...
"Cries in the Night" is a slower song, and has a great driving chorus---here is actually where W.A.S.P. has proven the strongest at this point in its career. Dropping the image and concentrating on the songwriting might have actually wielded some decent career results (as is later proven).
