**UMR Review Poll Winner**
Ahhhhnald. This is a strong gathering of metal acts, both new and old. These are almost exclusively "new" tracks recorded for this soundtrack, and
perhaps the best part of the experience is that the bulk of them can actually be heard during the movie.
AC/DC's "Big Gun" is probably the most recognizable of the
tracks, and still gets the occasional radio play from time to time. Alice in Chains leave their mark with moody cuts--"What the Hell Have I" and the kick of "A Little Bitter".
Megadeth is represented with the excellent cut "Angry Again"; AnthraxSaint has "Poison My Eyes," and Queensryche's acoustic-based, almost Pink Floydian song "Real
World" is introduced.
The "hidden gem" award has to go to Tesla's take on the title track. Strong and fairly fitting to their style; I had always hoped they'd bust it out
at a live show at some point. On the downside of the soundtrack, there are a couple of rap-rockers, and Bryan-Adams-Leppard shows up with "Two Steps Behind". Blech.
Overall, definitely one of the better mostly-metal soundtracks out there.
