Leave Me in Hell--RealAudio

As the album's title suggests, Venom's themes and theatrics were one of the first (and main) influences on the Black Metal genre. The music is built strongly around speed and thrash, and the vocals are fairly clean--but this is 1982. The band and its music is not great through-and-through, but you can see where the speed, vocal tendencies, and overall aggression would eventually lead to the death/black scene.
"To Hell and Back," "Bloodlust," and "Leave Me in Hell" are all stout tracks, with both "Heaven's on Fire" and the title song being a couple of the faster cuts to be found.
Other steady moments include "Sacrifice," "Countess Bathory," and "Don't Burn the Witch," with "Die Hard" being energetic, and "Acid Queen" having an almost early Megadeth, metal-punk feel.
