Virus 7--Sick in the Head (2000/Metal Blade)
Rating--7.9

Your Master Calls--RealAudio
Featuring guitarist Hank Sherman from Mercyful Fate, Virus 7 surges forward with a disc of short, compact tracks. At first the band displays music in the choppy, Sevendust vein, and later settles into a solid metal niche very much like classic, Bush-belted Armored Saint. A solid offering, with many above-par tracks.
The rolling and chuggy "Obey or Die" leaves the first mark, and is followed by the slow-paced and thick "Danger Me". Layered vocal work and an excellent rhythm make "The Execution" a top highlight, and the flow of "Your Master Calls" stands even higher.
"Livin' Large" has a snaking, bobbing groove, and several other tracks are solid fare: "True Pain," "Fight the Fight," "You Better Believe," and "Last Chance".
