Clover--RealAudio Milkman's Son--RealAudio

The Joes add drummer extradonaire Shannon Larkin on this release, and the result is a heavier, more driving sound, and the thrashy-sassy guitar sound from the first album resurfaces a bit as well. The tunes, however, aren't as commercially catchy as before; therefore, I suppose this album marks the beginning of the end for the band in this MTV-era of music. Truly a shame...
Highlights include "God", "Clover", "Milkman's Son", "Suckerpath", "10/10", "V.I.P", and "Intro".
HOT CHOPS: The song "Intro" is just that--the intro to the album. It's all instrumental, but it really rocks. Drummer Larkin makes his presence felt immediately, as the double-bass thuds and superb high-hat work drive the piece--and the album as a whole. A drummer's delight!
