Twisted Sister--Love Is For Suckers (1987/Atlantic)
Rating--4.0

Almost the entire rating here is due to one excellent song. More on that later...
More "formula" on a number of the cuts, especially with the choruses. Not as raw or heavy as before, as the band tries to go even more commercial than before. Not a good idea...
The killer track is "Wake Up the Sleeping Giant," which just so happens to be the opening tune. A deep and prowling slab, with an anthemic but still heavy-as-hell chorus.
Cruel, cruel!... The first time I heard this tasty treat, my thoughts were "Oh, yes!! Here's comes a great album!" Little did I know that it pretty much went downhill from there...
Salvagable are the upbeat title song and the chunky chords of "I'm So Hot For You." However, a large portion of the tracks are just plain awful. The second half of the album is putrid. Ugh.
