Type O Negative - Life is Killing Me (2003/Roadrunner)
Rating - 7.3

Type O continues in the same general direction as their earlier works, as there is a predominant goth-like feel, along with some peppy, punk sounds in places. There are less "interludes" and novelty pieces like were featured on past releases, but at the same time less standout crunchers (as on 'Bloody Kisses'), too.
"Nettie" has some nice old-school chugging, with the title track being good as well. "I Don't Wanna Be Me" is a bit faster than the Negative norm, and "Todd's Ship Gods" has a smooth feel. The atmosphere and calmness of "(We Were) Electrocute" is effective, and both "...A Dish Best Served Coldy" and "Anesthesia" are effective.
