Tad Morose--A Mended Rhyme (1997/Black Mark)
Rating--7.9

Goddess of Chaos--RealAudio
An interesting band, as it seems to mix elements of two key groups: Conception and Morgana Lefay-- though not quite as solid as either.
The band is not as contained as Conception, and has heavier keyboard use... And the music is not as straight-forward or thick as Lefay. The ingredients of both genres are present, though-- there just needs to be a bit more consistency.
Vocally, it's half the gruff Lefay style, and a bit like a nasty, ballsy Graham Bonnet.
The choppy opener "Circuit Vision" has some nice pace shifts, and the heavy chug flow of "Goddess of Chaos" is a top spot. The winding and solid "Guest of Inquisition" stands out, as does the slower "The Vacant Lot".
Good moments can be found in both "The Trader of Souls" and the title track.
