Demons--RealAudio
Power metal, with shades of heavy prog intermixed. The vocals on this disc (they will change singers for the followup) are a lot like Biff Byford, but with smoother range. There are sounds here that border on heavy Conception, as well some contained Running Wild. Lots of chops, and some driving moments.
"Misery" has some nasty struts, and the energetic and frantic riff pace of "Demons" is solid. "Miracle" features sharp riffs throughout, and both "Kingdom" and "Let the Rain" are ripping and paced. "Why" is a multi-faceted tune, with various tempo changes.
A strong release; the followup, while slightly less so, is good as well.
