A little less substance on this release than the last, meaning that the tracks could use less frill and showiness, and more "meat" to them. Turilli and his cohorts are no doubt talented musicians--that's certainly not being debated. But the style is just a bit over the top, often missing the mark needed to leave a lasting impression.
Among the better tracks present are "Rider of the Astral Fire," "Zaephyr Skies' Theme," and "The Age of Mystic Ice".
