A easy-going, blues rock/metal feel. A little like 'Pump'-era Aerosmith, with its occasional assortment of horns, slide guitar, harmonica, piano, and so forth. There's a little of the older Whitesnake, as well as some latter-day Cinderella.
"You're Not the Lovin' Kind" has a moving flow and rhythm, and "Excited" is a carefree, semi-boisterous romp. "Back in the Limelight" is one of the disc's sharper tracks, while "Takes Just a Little Time" is a slow builder, but has a steady base.
The title track has a power-ballad feel, while the sassy "If Ya Can't Find Love" does a good job closing the offering out.
