Seven Witches--Xiled to Infinity and One (2002/Noise)
Rating--8.3
Metal Tyrant--RealAudio
One of the main bands for guitarist Jack Frost, who has also appeared with both Savatage and Metalium. This music is perhaps a blend of the two, as it is pretty
much a power/thrash mix. Fans of 'Painkiller'-era Priest, Primal Fear, Wicked Angel, Armored Saint, and so forth will enjoy this. The vocals are handled by the soaring
and caustic Wade Black, who was with Crimson Glory on the 'Astronomica' album.
There are strong points everywhere on this disc, as the bookends "Metal Tyrant"
and "See You in Hell" both rip, and other solid marks include "Incubus," "Salvation," "Anger's Door," and "Pain".
The title track is a tough ride, and Jon Oliva makes a
guest appearance on "The Burning". Good power metal.
