Think--RealAudio
The sophomore release from this prog unit, and the band continues to toil in a Dream Theater-like
realm-- perhaps a bit along the lines of 'Falling Into Infinity'. However, the material is too inconsistent. Some songs tend to go off on
minute-long piano diatribes and so forth, which often break into otherwise solid flows.
The smooth and fairly sharp chord drive of "Not With Me" opens the disc, while the heavy "Think" is a top spot, with its constant
and faster pace.
"Amok" is a good and chunky track, and both "Detect: Myself" and "God's Funeral" are multi-faceted, with
the latter having a good and choppy base (despite its occasional randomness).
The band continues to show some promising
signs, but probably needs to return more to the almost Threshold-like rocking of its debut to
stay afloat. Whether that will happen or not remains to be seen...
