Stryper--Against the Law (1990/Enigma)
Rating--7.1

Caught in the Middle--RealAudio
Less formula than before, and more energetic and free-for-all. Probably better than all their releases save 'To Hell With the Devil'.
Many sharp riffs and chops, along the lines of White Lion, Dokken, and the early David Lee Roth/Steve Vai material.
"Two Time Woman" is a solid track, and "Shining Star" is both funky and ripping. The heavy and solid "Caught in the Middle" may be the album's best track, and opens a one-two-three punch to close out the disc. It is followed by the smooth and Dokken-ish "All For One," and finally the fastest track, "Rock the Hell Out of You."
Not bad, not bad. Oh, and the band has abandoned the yellow-and-black attire here, opting for much more "secular" leather and boots. Interesting...
