St. Madness--God Bless America (1998/Nasty Prick)
Rating--6.6
Back From the Dead--RealAudio
Pretty much standard metal distortion, as it's not overly flashy or pompous. The vocals are clean, but fairly deep and rough.
Reminds of Gruntruck's singer at times. Some attitude and sexual innuendos, but that helps form
the band. They're not shy, that's for sure...
"Back From the Dead" blasts forward with a chunky pace, and "Sexual Abuse"
is a romping ride from the onset. "Jet Plane to Heaven" is slower but strong, and "Trapped" also stands out.
A band
with plenty of local exposure around the Phoenix area, they could be looking to move up with a few breaks.
