Savatage--Power of the Night

Release number three for the power metal merchants is more of the same. The sound starts to thicken a bit, but is still unmistakably Oliva(s)!
A prolonged keyboard buildup introduces the title song, and then... razor riff! Slow and winding, 'Tage style. "Necrophilia" displays a sound much like NWOBHM bands Priest and Accept, as it is heavy, crunching, but still Sava-smooth. A nice power chorus, with screams intact!
"Hard For Love" intertwines a spunky little riff with a good chorus---and actually conjures images of a heavier Great White! A bit of a different sound for the boys, but still good.
"Stuck on You" has yet another mean riff, and is sharp throughout.
