Slave Raider--What Do You Know About Rock 'N Roll? (1988)
Rating--4.0
Has the cheese factor actually been raised?? With the lyrics, at least, it appears as if it has... Some truly putrid songs on this
release--but let's not dwell on the negative, shall we?
"Keep on Pushin'" has a decent little beat/thump, at least at the start
of the song. "Iron Bar Motel" starts out with a riff that has promise, but ends up too slow and weak--which was the problem with the
last album--too much total fluff around the few salvagable points. Ah well...hope they invested well. **Note: In an attempt at
credence, the band covers Thin Lizzy's "Jailbreak"--but manages to somehow not shine during that either...
