Hailing from New Jersey, Spider Rockets have a sound that is reminiscent of the strong late '80s, riff-and-note base foundations. There's some Fastway, a little Phantom Blue (as the lead singer is female), and a few others. Similar - but not as raunchy - as some of the L.A. scene swagger units, and this 4-song release does a good job of showing off the band's hooks.
"Hey Man" gets itself into a good groove, and a heavy flow marks the aptly titled "The Predator".
"Times Up" is strong throughout, and overall the band works to makes a decent push towards major label recognition.
