Sins of Omission--Flesh On Your Bones (2001/Soundholic)
Rating--7.9
The Secret Agenda--RealAudio
Sins of Omission is a Swedish band that falls into the technical/melodic death (and black) genre. In Flames, Dragonlord, Arch Enemy, Soilwork... you know the
deal. The music and production is not quite up to the technical level of some of the top bands in the genre, but this is still a good ride. The band plays well together,
and numerous tracks stand out. Fans of the above-mentioned bands will definitely dig this.
Good rhythms mark "The Secret Agenda," while solid moments are held
throughout tracks like "Angel Killers," "The Rape...," "A Wicked
Slaughterhouse Tale," "The Grinder," and "Sinners Redemption."
The group pays homage to one of the greats by slashing out a nasty cover of Slayer's
"Angel of Death," as well.
