Seventh Omen--Polarized (1999/Septagram)
Rating--7.9
Vultures at the Window--RealAudio
Treble-driven prog metal, and lots of good, tight riffing. There's shades of Symphony X's rhythm music (without the intricate lead work),
and also heavier Dream Theater (without the keyboards). The vocals sound a bit like a rough, high James LaBrie.
A number of tunes stand out as standard fare, and are good listens: "A Gentle Breeze," "Polarized," "Silent Weapons," "Clear Water," "Hate Breeds," "Possession,"
and "Blame".
The album's top tracks are the riff-heavy cuts "Robotica" and "Vultures at the Window".
