Guardian Angel--RealAudio
By the Sound of Her Wings
Former Tesla bassist Brian Wheat's project. A steady, thick blues feel, ala
Badlands and Pride and Glory, but also with some slow nastiness in the vein of
Trouble or maybe even a little Lynch Mob.
A thick chorus and some nice pulling notes
help "Guardian Angel" kick the disc off, and songs like "Omega Son," "Technicolor Dream," and "Supermodel" are
nasty and grooving.
There's some excellent slide strafing action in "Lizard Boots," as well as in the infectious "Touch
of Strange." Heavier tracks are represented in "Kali," the slow blues burn of "Go For a Ride," and the evil wind of "By the
Sound of Her Wings."
In all, a thoroughly tasty blues metal treat---with just the right touch of sin.
