Steelhouse Lane--Slaves of the New World (1999/MTM)
Rating--7.4

All or Nothin'--RealAudio
Hard rock music, with some metallic distortion moments. The closest comparison is probably some of the Hardline material, though there are bits of Pink Cream 69's lighter catalog, and some occasional flashes of Lynch-like soloing. Vocally, a tough Jani Lane is brought to mind.
"Give It All to Me" opens with some sharp chops, and a smooth, hard rock feel is featured in tracks such as "Find What We're Looking For," "Where Are You Now," and "Seven Seas". The big chorus sound of the title track stands out, and the Warrant-like ballad "All I Believe In" has another thick vocal frame.
Another great, flowing chorus is the forte of "All or Nothin'," and some of the heavier tracks include the chopping "The Nightmare Begins," as well as "In Too Deep" with its cutting verses.
