Slayer-God Hates Us All (2001/American)
Rating-8.0
Threshold--RealAudio
There are considerable chunks of the classic Slayer sound, and while some of the "updates" from 'Diabolus Musica' are still present, overall this is a much more
straight-forward release. The band remains fresh, and fans of old should be pleased (if not completely sated).
The top spots include "God Send Death," the thick
"Threshold," "New Faith" with its 'Seasons in the Abyss' groove-chug, and the angry "Deviance". Nearly every other track brutalizes in Slayer's own trademark fashion,
providing pit fodder for all.
