Joe Stump - Night of the Living Shred (1995/Leviathan)
Rating - 8.0

This release is a bit more vibrant than the debut, and perhaps the most telling aspect of Stump's recordings is that he proves to be more than a "solo" guitarist--he is also very adept at rhythm playing.
The opening "Facemelter" builds into a good track, with "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" being nice as well. "Chasing the Jack" is flowing, chopping, and strong, with "Heavy Handed" being perfectly named due to its solid backbone.
Other good moments include "Texas Chainsaw Boogie" and the strutting Hendrix tribute "The Jimi Stomp".
