Joe Stump - Guitar Dominance! (1994/Leviathan) |
||
Guitarist Joe Stump is/was a teacher at the Berklee School of Music, so this isn't just some useless six-string wankering you're listening to, bub. His style on this
debut release is a bit more aggressive than Satriani, and not as showy or flowery as Malmsteen. There is an edged and (maybe overly) raw sound to the production;
overall, some good tracks to be had, and a nice stepping-out for Stump. TRACK LIST: Prince of Darkness/In for the Kill/Paganini's Revenge/Strat Attack/The Ultraviolence/Jetaime/Behind the 8 Ball/Survival of the Fastest/Breakneck Boogie/Farewell to Truth
