Sinner - There Will Be Execution (2003/Nuclear Blast)
Rating - 8.5

Black Monday--RealAudio

This is standard Sinner fare, as the German metalheads have stayed a constant course over the past decade. This release is better than the last, and marks a return to the consistency of 'Judgment Day' and 'Nature of Evil'. Swift songs and slow-crunchers are intermixed, which will also please the fans of Mat Sinner's other band, Primal Fear.
Several of the faster tracks include "Higher Level of Violence," "Finalizer," and the title song, whereas cuts like "Die on Command" and "Liberty of Death" contain the classic Sinner slow-cooking chord-and-grooves.
"Black Monday" has a particularly strong chorus, all of "Requiem For a Sinner," "Locked and Loaded," and "God Raises the Dead" are good, and "The River" is a nice surprise with its lighter feel.
