Sinergy--Beware the Heavens (1999/Nuclear Blast)
Rating--8.2

The Warrior Princess--RealAudio
A power metal unit featuring members of In Flames, as well as female vocalist Kimberly Goss, having last appeared with the death/power metal unit Ancient. She proves to be a special treat, as her singing is actually better than many male power metal vocalists-- soaring, powerful, and with plenty of conviction!
Like the In Flames material, the music here is extremely intricate and tight. There are also bits and pieces of Hammerfall and Iced Earth.
Good "change of pace" power metal (in regards to the vocals).
Opening track "Venomous Vixens" is good and strong, and is followed by the melodic and tight rhythm of "The Fourth World". The title track is a steady attack, and "Virtual Future" is solid.
"The Warrior Princess" is a top highlight with its double-bass-and-note chorus, and the more melodic "Swarmed" has some nice vocal work.
This band started out showing all the signs of being a side project for its members. However, now that the positive results have been revealed, hopefully this will be more than a one-time venture...
