Get Some Strange--RealAudio
Smooth and strong vocals do a good job of powering music that is in the vein of melodic Firehouse or real heavy
Bon Jovi. Perhaps hints of some of the earliest Skid Row material as well,
though not quite as sharp through and through. Yet another solid release which came at the tail end of the "hair" sound's
reign, and didn't get much exposure as a result.
"Paris Calling" opens the disc with a powerful and driving chorus, and
other solid refrains are shown in "Somebody's Falling," "Spellbound," and the rolling chorus of "Shake For Me."
Riffs and a driving backbone fuel "Get Some Strange," and the spacious power slow-down track "Why Should I Believe" holds
the attention well. Not to be overlooked is the pickup at the end of "Passion to Ashes"--nice work.
