Shakra - Moving Force (1999/Point)
Rating - 8.0

Shakra brings a hard rock/metal mix much like late '80s, early '90s Sinner. Lots of stop-and-go chord work, and a good guitar crunch.
Opener "Nothing to Lose" is dark and heavy, and all of "Stranger," "Wonder," and "All I Want" are steady tunes.
"Desert Star" has some good slide work, "Don't Try to Call" is more than passable, and "When the Phone Rings Twice" has its merits as well. In all, a good band to get into for the heavier AOR fans, and chord-rocking fans ala Sinner, Pretty Maids, and the like.
