Victim of the Paranoid--RealAudio
Sharp, Slayer-like distortion, and death vocals that stay on a fairly even keel, so that they are not totally indistinguisable. A powerful, heavy-moving band.
The rhythmic and chugging "Feasting on the Blood of the Insane" is the opening track, and the brutal and flowing "Victim of the Paranoid" follows suit in strong fashion. "Torture Killer" is a slow, chunky and churning cut, with both "Hacked to Pieces" and "No Warning Shot" being adequate as well.
The band gives a bonus in the form of "War Machine," my all-time favorite Kiss tune. There's no denying that bass-heaviness, as the band imprints its own style on this classic track.
Overall, a very good death release, as the unit gives equal detail to both music and lyrical theme.
