A crunching selection of covers from one of Death Metal's supergroups. There's a wide range here: speed, power, traditional, and even a little punk. The band's tight, heavy, sustained guitar sound fuels every track, as this is a splendid treat.
The rolling, muted frame of "Holocaust" is ultra-tight, and check out the bottom-heavy, bass-driven "TNT". Gawd.
Classic "Smoke on the Water" is thick, and tracks such as "Confused" and "Son of a Bitch" are solid NWOBHM.
Armored Saint's John Bush trades vocal duties with Chris Barnes on "Blackout," and both "Piranha" and "In League With Satan" are fast tracks.
