Murder--RealAudio Dead Embryonic Cells--RealAudio

A solid and menacing slab of speed and power metal. Very much in the vein of 'Lightning' and 'Master'-era Metallica, with strong strains of Slayer as well. Tight rhythm arrangements, great riff sections, and fast double bass work. The vocals are growly, but not undistinguisable.
The title track is fast and thrashy, and sets the pace for the rest of the disc. Great head-moving segments are held all throughout "Murder," and there's plenty of nasty thrashing and contained riffage in "Desperate Cry."
"Subtraction" is total crunch and riff grooves, and "Altered State" steamrolls from the start. "Under Siege" and "Infected Voice" are two other songs with both drive and speed.
All in all, a splendid thrash opus.
HOT CHOPS: The post-solo chug riff in "Dead Embryonic Cells" is undeniable! A true slow-grind neck breaker!
