Ball of the Damned--RealAudio
European power metal, with good flashes of speed. The music has nice bottom-heaviness, as there are bits of Metalium, maybe
some melodic Lefay... Overall, it's sharp, semi-technical distortion.
Vocally, head singer Haridon Lee has a strong, hallowed voice, sounding
a bit like Riot's many past belters.
Opening track "Puppet on a String" features Ralph Scheepers as the guest vocalist... but it doesn't do a whole
lot to stand out. Better tracks show up in the forms of the building title song with its rapid-rolling chorus, the cutting "We Start it Tomorrow," and the great singing of
"Frozen Under the Sun".
Other good cuts surface in "True Stories Teller," "Judge on the Run," and the faster "Tollshocked".
