Running Wild - Pile of Skulls (1992/Noise)
Rating - 8.2

This offering very much qualifies as one of the "classic" Running Wild discs. Virtually all the tracks stand out and breathe on their own; there is a balanced mix of double-bass fueled selections, and mid-paced tunes as well.
"Whirlwind" is nice and swift, and "Lead or Gold" has a sneaky little gallop and thump. "Treasure Island" is an eleven-minute epic, and "Sin or Be Drowned" showcases a steady, prancing rhythm.
I count at least six other tracks that are easily good enough to mention -- which is usually the case on all the RW releases: consistent, solid metal.
