Rhapsody--Symphony of Enchanted Lands (1998/Limb)
Rating--7.9
Emerald Sword--RealAudio
Symphony-laden music intermixed with the standard sounds of metal. Extremely intricate, as there are some early Helloween-like vocal
blendings, as well as some overall Yngwie sounds. Fast drums complete the picture, as there are a lot of good tracks here. The distortion
mix could probably stand to be a bit thicker-- but a small complaint.
The best cuts that emerge are "Emerald Sword," "Beyond the Gates of Infinity," and the
long and multi-faceted title track.
A band that is fast developing a strong European following; it remains to be seen if they will garner respect in the fickle U.S. scene.
