The album that would mark the end of yet another singer's tenure, as DC Cooper takes his show on the road following this release. More Elegy musings, and hints of Conception begin to creep forward as well...
"River of Pain," "Tearing Down the World," and "Long Way Home" are all standard and solid Royal Hunt fare. The building pace of "Message to God" features some great notes and drive, while the straffing rhythm of "Time Will Tell" is also a highlight. "Silent Scream" is layered, adding punch to its framework.
This disc contains six "bonus" tracks, which are basically radio edits of four of the previous tracks, as well as two earlier-catalog selections.
Despite Cooper's departure, the band is continuing forward with new singer John West, and guitarist/songwriter Andre Andersen has also released a (similar in style) solo effort.
