DC Cooper takes over at the vocal helm for this release and the next. He is very similar to the previous singer, but with better and more yearning highs.
A step forward in overall symphonic effectiveness, and also in atmosphere. Extremely melodic vocal movements throughout; shades of bands such as Stratovarius and slower Elegy continue to surface.
The mystic verses of "Last Goodbye" lead into a tremendous chorus, and the middle frame of "Time" soars as well.
All of "Makin' A Mess," "Step By Step," and "Give It Up" are strong, and "Far Away" is a good slower song. There is also an acoustic version of "Far Away," with more great DC Cooper singing.
Good stuff.
