You're in Love--RealAudio
This is the same basic musical sound as on 'Out of the Cellar'--it's just not quite as consistent, quality-wise. There are
a couple of slower-tempo songs that don't bring much bite, and break the flow a bit. Overall, however, still some slick nastiness;
two of the band's absolute best hail from this offering.
The driving distortion rhythm of "You're In Love" marks it as an
excellent track, and the riff-based backbone of "Lay It Down" mixes perfectly with the smooth and seductive chorus.
"Never
Use Love" is good and choppy, and some nice notes and resulting drive allow "Got Me on the Line" to stand out--- a track which
actually could have been a big single, had the band chosen to release it.
"Give It All," "You Should Know By Now," and
"Dangerous But Worth the Risk" all have their Ratt n' Roll moments.
HOT CHOPS: That opening crunch riff to "You're in Love". Who else remembers the video?? You know... the silhouette of a guitarist
(don't remember if it was Crosby or DeMartini) up on stage, sliding into that chunky groove...
