Ratt--Detonator (1990)

Shame Shame Shame--RealAudio
A bit of a comeback for the boys, but by this time virtually all commercial support has been pulled. As an
Aerosmith release, this probably would have gone multi-platinum. Instead, we're left with a collection of underrated gems that,
while not quite as nasty as their mid-'80s material, is still smooth and solid.
"Shame Shame Shame" features a great, fast Ratt
riff, as well as a sing-along chorus. "Lovin' You's a Dirty Job" is typical Ratt/Aero sass, and "All or Nothing" swaggers to the beat
as well.
The layered singing in the chorus of "Heads I Win, Tails You Lose" makes it stand out, and it's the verses which
are stellar in "Scratch That Itch".
Though not as bottom-heavy as one would like, "Can't Wait On Love" is still a rocker. The
band expands horizons a bit with "Givin' Yourself Away"--an extremely strong and binding power "ballad", though it's quite metallic.
Yet another solid offering...
