Queensryche

Early groundbreakers for the progressive metal genre. Formed in Seattle in the early 80's, the band has changed a bit since their fast beginnings, but have had continuing success. Excellent vocals all around, and a great guitar duo. The band had held the same lineup its entire career until early '98 when guitarist Chris Degarmo left. Vocalist Geoff Tate is widely considered one of the best and most versatile in all of metal.
