A five-song EP, and some of the heaviest and most straight-forward material the band has ever released. Fast and sharp, but with a raw edge as well. Vocalist Geoff Tate just seeps range and emotion, and the twin guitar attack is both intricate and powerful.
"The Lady Wore Black" is more of a mystic, acoustic/electric track, and is still played in the group's live sets today. All four of the other songs fit the above-mentioned bill: pure energy.
