American Metalhead - mp3

This groups is under the evil direction of Mike Chlasciak (Halford, Testament), but truly features and all-star cast and ensemble. Bobby Jarzombek is on drums, Steve DiGiorgio’s on bass, the vocals are provided by Tim Clayborne and Joe Comeau even makes a guest appearance. Not enough for you? Well then... it was mixed by Roy Z, and mastered by James Murphy! Yup, quite the sparkling collection of talents.
The music here is no-nonsense metal, with some power-like tendencies that Chlasciak displayed with Halford, but also plenty of more aggressive tunes, which fit with some of the band members’ other projects/groups. Much of the guitarwork and tone, in fact, is in the sharp-honed style of 'Cowboys'-era Pantera. Clayborne’s vocals are often in the extreme, semi-death octaves, along the lines of Children of Bodom, perhaps. There are clean sections as well, however.
"Speak the Name" shows off some thrashy power, and all of "Words Kill Everything," "Dogs in a Cage," "Live and Die," and "PainmuseuM" are strong.
"American Metalhead" is a chunky slab of Power Metal bliss, and "Bloody Wings" has some absolutely evil chord/neck-work at its root.
