...Of Epic Questions--RealAudio
Dimensions of Fire--RealAudio

The second album from these Norweigans, who formerly went under the moniker of Silverspoon. This reincarnation is much heavier and etched; think ballsier Dream Theater, mid-career Threshold, some heavy-handed Conception, and a little classic Queensryche--especially the basslines. There is tons of great vocal-and-instrument-induced atmosphere, and considering the fact that the band occasionally incorporates double-bass drumming and also background keyboards, there's a little something here for everything. A solid release.
"Through Osiris' Eyes" is full of riffs, and "...Of Epic Questions" follows suit. The stalking, haunting masterpiece "Dimensions of Fire" sends chills, while the sprawling instrumental "Back to the Magic of Childhood Part 2" goes from carefree to intricate.
Other strong tracks include "Entrance: Stargate," "The Seven Sacred Promises," "Aegean Shores," and "The Prophecy of Pleiades".

HOT CHOPS: Check out the stutter-and-slide work in "Back to the Magic Part 2," around the 7:45 mark. A nice effect!
