Paralysis--Architecture of the Imagination (2000/AFM)
Rating--8.2

Footsteps--RealAudio
The one band's style that Paralysis clearly follows after is Nevermore. The music isn't quite as consistently thick, but it's in a similar vein to the most recent Nevermore offerings. In fact, there are places where you cannot tell the two groups apart--vocals included. A few Jag Panzer-like qualities are mixed in at times, as overall this is a pretty strong import power release.
Tight, Iced Earth-like riffing helps opens the disc in "No One," and numerous other good tracks show up via "Visions," "The Truth," "Shallow," and the slower "Empty Head".
A stalking, evil prance churns through "Broken," and "Footsteps" and the title track are both sinful delights. This could be a good group to watch in the future, as much promise is shown here.
