Pantera--Vulgar Display Of Power (1992)
Rating--8.8
Walk--RealAudio
By Demons Be Driven--RealAudio
Nearly all of the songs on this disc are in-your-
face groove, as the band avoids a letdown. Anselmo's vocals gets a bit rougher on this release, but it merely translates to more power
for the songs overall. Dimebag continues to churn away; just imagine would could be accomplished with a
twin guitar attack! Ooooh.
"Walk"-- the groove! Other highlights include the beautiful-but-still-brutal
"This Love" and "Hollow," plus almost all of the other mosh-haven gems.
The main riff to "Mouth For War" rips and tears,
being one of the band's top catalog moments. "Regular People" also stands out, with a riveting and nasty chorus.
