Ozzy Osbourne--Live & Loud (1993/Sony)
Rating--8.1
Bark at the Moon--RealAudio
Recorded live during the tour for 'No More Tears,' this 2-CD collection features the supporting cast of Zakk Wylde, Mike Inez, and Randy Castillo. Ozzy sounds
great, and the liner notes and pictures reveal that for this tour he was in the best physical shape of the past 15 years of his life. An unexpected bonus is the track "Black
Sabbath," where the original members of Sabbath join Ozz on stage.
Highlights are sprinkled throughout, and some of the top spots include "I Don't Want to Change
the World," "I Don't Know," "Flying High Again," "Suicide Solution," "Shot in the Dark," and "Bark at the Moon".
The crowd plays a big part in "Goodbye to Romance,"
"No More Tears," "War Pigs," and "Mama, I'm Coming Home," and Wylde performs a tasty little guitar solo that also includes a snippet of the National Anthem--perhaps
a prelude to his playing the tune at Dodger Stadium?...
A good menagerie overall, but it would have been great to hear other, more recent songs as well: "The
Ultimate Sin," "Mr. Tinkertrain," and "Demon Alcohol," to name a few.
