The improved production and songwriting is immediately apparent on this release. A number of the band's early staples hail from 'Taking Over', making it a solid pickup for the devoted fan.
Deny the Cross is fast thrash with a good chorus, and features one of those mid-track groove/rhythms that Overkill will absolutely patent during their illustrious career! The dirty bastards give you another one in "Powersurge", with more good cuts showing up via the steady churn of "Fear His Name," "Use Your Head," "Wrecking Crew," "Electro-Violence," and the live fave "In Union We Stand".
