I Hear Black--RealAudio Undying--RealAudio

The grooves, man--the grooves!! Overkill slows it down a bit on this album from its usual frantic-paced brand of thrash metal. The result is still ultra-heavy, but coming to the forefront is a pulsing, slow-churning guitar-and-bass sensation that must be reckoned with. Some nice chug-chugga-chug-chugga rhythms; some nice head-moving riffs. Somewhat overlooked in the band's recent catalog, mainly due to the (non) moshibility of some of the songs. However, the sheer brilliance of this album should not be ignored. A bit of a "diamond in the rough" as far as '90s metal releases go.
Nasty highlights include "Dreaming in Colombian," "Feed My Head," "Spiritual Void," "Weight of the World," "Undying," and the title track.
HOT CHOPS: The grooves.... "Undying" at 0:50; the chorus of "Dreaming in Colombian"; almost all of "I Hear Black"; much, much more... Sit back and enjoy the madness, kiddies.
