Naughty Naughty--Secret Hidng Place (1999/Naughty Naughty) Rating--7.8

A mostly one-man act, as guitarist/vocalist Ernie Carletti lets his talents shine. A variety of tunes, with the heaviest being like a raw and sharp Lillian Axe--slashing guitars, smooth and edged vocals, and strong riffs. Not glam-oriented, though, as some may associate with the Axe name.
A talented musician, and a worthy collection of tracks.
The sharp and driving "Cocked & Loaded" comes at you first, but is quickly overshadowed by the even stronger "Getaway"---a couple of pure rock n' shredders. "Catch 22" is ripping and piledriving, and "Only a Dream" does a good job of shifting between heavy and light moments.
A fresh unsigned face, and a name to listen for in the future...
